Tour delle Reliquie

Inviting the Relics to Your City

Based on years of experience, we have developed the following information to help you decide if you would like to host a Relic Tour event.

Our goal is that as many people as possible can benefit from being in the presence of the holy relics and from hearing about Maitreya Project's message of loving-kindness.

For these reasons, it is important that people are aware that the Maitreya Project Heart Shrine Relic Tour is coming to their city. This is a non-sectarian event and we encourage local organizers to invite all of the local Buddhist temples and spiritual groups to the event they are hosting.

We encourage the group hosting the Relic Tour to have an Opening Ceremony during which prayers for world peace, harmony and loving-kindness to arise are offered in the presence of the relics.

Lama Zopa Rinpoche, Spiritual Director of Maitreya Project, has advised that everyone should be able to experience the blessings of the Relics for free. Therefore, there is no entrance charge to the event. Visitors are able to make a donation to the Maitreya Project if they wish to. Brochures with colour images of the relics and information about each of the masters are available by donation. We also provide postcards, posters and DVDs about the relics and the Project.

We have an information pack on hosting an event to smooth the process. We also have beautifully designed flyers & posters that are used to promote the event. Our media kit includes a press release, a Frequently Asked Questions and Answers sheet, colour images, news cuttings from previous events, and downloadable images from our website.

If you wish to invite the relics to be displayed in your city, please send an email to: relictour@maitreyaproject.org

We look forward to working with you to bring the blessings of the relics and Maitreya Project to your city.
